Curator Wine Co has been several decades in the making. Tom White’s journey began in the Adelaide Hills in the late 1980s, where his family operated a cool-climate vineyard. This is where an early appreciation for wine evolved into a lifelong passion. 

At the heart of Curator Wine Co is a philosophy that vineyard decisions directly shape the flavour and quality of the final wine. This creative connection to the land inspired a focus on producing generous, full-bodied Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grenache from the old vines of the Barossa Valley. Achieving this style required a careful selection of vine age, soil types, aspect, elevation, and varieties, ultimately leading to the Marananga sub-region, now home to the Curator Wine Co vineyard.

Curator Wine Co is based at an original settler’s stone cottage, built in the 1890s, where the vineyard continues to be personally managed by Tom and his Wife Bridget.

The guiding belief is that great wines are made in the vineyard. The winemaking approach is hands off and minimal intervention, with grapes all hand harvested, undergoing natural fermentation and hand plunging. Final blends are carefully selected to reflect site and season. All wines are vegan-friendly, with no fining or filtration used at any stage.
